RE: Low ball trade-in from dealers.

Phnguyk, is Huricane a brand or a model? I am going to the library after lunch, I would be more than happy to look up wholesale for you. At least in this area, that is all that you are going to get for a trade in. Some of you clowns need to read what you type before you hit the "post message" button. You do realize that you can hit the back arrow button after your rant, and it doesn't make you a certified public jerk? Give the guy a break, he is just asking a question.

RE: Need help quick! Suburban windows are not functioning

There is a safety switch on that back glass. Can you still open the gate, or is the window still up into the channel? If you can drop the gate, you can access the safety switch. You were probably messing with it anyway when you were pushing on the tailgate. Guess how I know? The other windows may or may not be related to this problem, it is easy to get fooled by a coincidence. I made sure that when I sold my 88, I got barn doors in the next one. I hated that tailgate window. Hope you get it quick.

RE: what can I get

The RV NADA book that includes trade in wholesale value is not online. It is updated every 3 months, Sep 1st being the last update. Your local library will have in it their reference section. That wholesale value is the most you will get for it as a trade in, and the scam dealers will try to get it for less than that.

RE: I-95 South Carolina/North Carolina Border

There were 50 RV's in the Lumberton WM lot when we went by in April. Pedro and all of the other CG's don't like late arrivals, that's why WM boondocking happens.

RE: Overheight violation -- almost !!!

I don't think that you average how tall something is:) I'm going with the 2 inch higher reading as my final answer. IF I can find a straight 1x2x12.

RE: How to contact Forest River?

I have a Sandpiper brochure we picked up Sunday. Could you mean a 335QBQ? Rear bunk room with 4 slides and a bath and a half?

RE: Any excursion 7.3ps owners out there???

I run a SuperChips on tow safe when towing with my early 99 PSD. I am pulling 8200 lbs. I run it in economy when not towing, have never tried the performance setting. No tranny issues to date. I too put it back to stock one time, the difference was very obvious. 10-11 mpg depending on speed and terrain.

RE: Toneau cover shrunk ??

Go to West Marine and buy the tool for boat cover snaps. Blue handle thing with female saddles for the snap heads, pulls the cover where you want it. Works great. Boaters World probably has them too.

Help me, I think that I am getting bus fever!

We want to move up, and I keep falling in love with buses. Not new buses, due to dollars. A decent older bus, say from 1975 to 1990. I know about Prevost, Bluebird, MCI, GM, GMC, and Eagle, but who else built a good bus platform, and are there any less than 40 feet? Thanks for any input.

RE: WalMart Picture Posting Thread

I have no dog in this fight, but have you ever tried to find a manager in a WM? My local one is good about it, but most are in hiding.

RE: Overnight - Why stuck on WalMart - think out of the box

A 24 hour foundry parking lot is more quiet than a WM parking lot. I agree with you, but have stayed a few times at WM. Won't do it again because of the noise.

RE: Boat Launching with a DP

The only thing that would concern me is the ground clearance of the coach. Ever seen a low boy trailer hung up on a highway crossover? Other than that, I would do it, and am considering changing to a MH just so that we can take the boat with us on the first trip.

RE: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESS

I have reread the posts since Jan 08, I felt that anything prior has probably changed in the wireless world. So riddle me this please. DW now qualifies for an upgrade with VW, we are weekenders 15-20 times a year, and want internet when we travel. I saw mention in this thread somewhere about a phone being a wifi hotspot, but can't find it again. What would you suggest as the best Verizon phone and plan for web browsing and email with some multiple LT use? Looks like turning Broadband Access on and off at $2 a day would work best, but which phone do you think best? Thanks for any input.
